This is a narrowband version of M8, which we previously imaged in a mostly broadband fashion. However, narrowband processing typically renders the stars aberrantly, so this image benefited from layering in RGB stars (taken from the earlier image). Processing was with an interesting technique that renders an RGB image using only a red and blue channel -- the green channel is synthesized from the other two in Photoshop. In this case the Ha data is assigned to the red channel, and the OIII data is assigned to the blue channel. The earlier broadband image can be found here:
