Description

The last image with the U9 before it goes back to Apogee for some much needed cleaning and chip evaluation -- we had been detecting an ever increasing number of bad columns.

But the U9 still goes out with a BANG with this making APOD.

This is the longest (?) single image taken by SSRO...with 28 hours on just the luminance component, and a total of 60 hours for the LRGB.

NGC 7424 is a grand design galaxy similar to the Milky Way in the southern constellation Grus.
