Description |
||||
NGC6934 is a small globular cluster located about 50,000 light years away in the constellation Delphinius. This cluster is about 120 light years across and is also known as Caldwell 47. This cluster has been shown to have a tidal tail but this image is nowher near deep enough to show that tail. (In fact, the tail is found by examining the motion of stars in the neighborhood of the cluster and so may well not be visible in images.) This cluster does have a fair number of blue stragglers and some of these can be seen in this image. |
