Description |
||||
An island universe of about 100 billion stars, 32 million light-years away toward the constellation Pisces, M74 presents a gorgeous face-on view. Spanning about 30,000 light-years across the face of M74. Pink H2 regions wherein new stars are being born are visible along the spiral arms. Seeing was poor early, but improved later. Processed in MaximDL, CCDStack, Photoshop CS2. I'll try for some luminance as conditions permit. Fairly tough target! |
