Description |
||||
This deep image of the Cocoon Nebula, IC 5146, is noteworthy for a couple of reasons. First, we think it is an excellent image, showcasing both the fine detail of its Ha component, while displaying a beautiful range of colors and textures. Next, it is the first image acquired at SSRO exclusively using ACP. Steve Menaker worked with Bob Denny to implement ACP at our observatory, and Steve acquired the data for this image. Steve Mazlin did the processing. |
