Jupiter over Chile on the night of August 20, 2007 at approximately 1:16 UT. The three moons to the lower right of Jupiter are Ganymede, Europa and Callisto (from Jupiter outwards). The small dark spot on Jupiter itself is the shadow cast by Ganymede. Jupiter's other bright moon Io is hidden behind the planet. |
