Originally located at "New Mexico Skies" and Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) in Chile, Star Shadows Remote Observatory (SSRO) was a cooperative astro-imaging venture that actively produced images from 2004 through 2018.  SSRO was cofounded by Rick Gilbert, Jack Harvey, Steve Mandel, and John Pierce.  Over the years, imaging partners have included Jim Thibert, Don Goldman, Daniel Verschatse, Jose Joaquin Perez, Lewis Garrett, Jacob Gerrittsen, Mike Smith, Teri Smoot, and Steve Menaker.  SSRO was last operated by Steve Mazlin, Warren Keller, Mark Hanson, Rex Parker, and Tommy Tse.  Rick Gilbert currently serves as the SSRO webmaster for the archived site.
